The Soil Remediation Method to be used on each project is based on the soil characteristics, the contaminants that are present on site and the client's / owners' objectives.

Ground Force is equipped to handle all soil remediation, whether it is emergency spill response or cleaning up a brownfield site with hydrocarbons, oil, fuel, other petroleum products, VOCs, chlorinated and non-chlorinated solvents, heavy metals, paints, PCBs, leachate, Mercury or any other pollution / contaminants that may be on site due to either a spill or previous use of the land.

For each and every project that Ground Force undertakes, we guarantee that we will:

  • Complete the utility locates in the area of excavation to confirm presence of any underground utilities
  • Re-route underground services, if necessary, to facilitate impacted soil removal
  • Erect panel fencing to isolate the area of excavation and provide security to the area of excavation;
  • Excavate the impacted soils for treatment or transportation
  • Treat on site or transport the impacted soils by an Ministry of Environment (MOE) approved waste transporter to a MOE approved waste disposal facility;
  • Restore the excavation site
