B.Sc.,M.Eng.,EIT - Project Specialist - Technologies
Hao Zhang is an Engineering Intern (EIT) with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences (B.Sc.) from the South China Agricultural University and a master’s degree (M.Eng.) in Environmental Engineering from the University of Guelph. Hao’s graduate-level research at the University of Guelph focused on various water treatment technologies including membrane bioreactors (MBRs), nitrogen and phosphorus removal processes, treatment process simulation, wastewater treatment plant design, and groundwater modelling. Hao was hired by GFEI in 2018 to work as a Project Specialist in GFEI’s rapidly expanding Technologies Division.
Since joining the GFEI team, Hao has assisted GFEI’s Technologies Division in advancing its technical capabilities by developing analytical tools to evaluate and design remediation approaches for complex sites. Hao’s technical skills and attention to detail have made him a valuable addition to GFEI’s Technologies Division, where he is becoming increasingly involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle including estimating, design, project management, and invoicing.
