In-Situ Remediation

 

The cleanup of soil and groundwater can be very expensive, but in some situations, the contamination can be cleaned up in-situ (in place) eliminating the need for costly excavation and disposal.

 

One of the industry leaders in in-situ remediation, GFEI has extensive experience with a variety of cleanup methods including soil vapor extraction (SVE), air sparging, multi-phase extraction systems (MPE), chemical oxidation (ISCO), permeable reactive barriers (PRB), and bioremediation.

GFEI has a proven track record dealing with dense non-aqueous phase liquids (DNAPLs) including VOCs such as trichloroethylene (TCE), perchloroethylene (PCE), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) and heavy crude oil, as well as light non-aqueous phase liquids (LNAPLs) such as petroleum hydrocarbons (PHCs).

 

GFEI can also utilize real time date collection such as LIF and MIP to help determine the most effective remediation delivery method.
